Membership Categories (Levels) and Dues

Building members 

Building Members represent a designated building or group of buildings. Each Primary Building Member in good standing shall be entitled to one vote at any meeting of BOMA Hawaiʻi on behalf of the “member building” represented. One or more Additional Building Members may be named but must be represented by a Primary Building Member. Additional Building Members shall have no vote except that in the absence of the Principal Building Member.

Broker/Leasing Agent $1000.00

Building/Facility Engineer

Senior, Chief, Lead or other titles that are not contracted employees and are associated with the Primary Building Member 

Non-Profit Agency/Utility
Membership in these categories will be allowed provided their building is a current BOMA Hawaii member
*Membership in these categories will be allowed providing the Asset Managers/Owner’s Representatives supervises at least one building member who is already paying BOMA Hawaii dues for the same building.

ALLIED (non-building) members 

Allied Members shall represent businesses or professional companies who provide supporting services to buildings and their management. Allied Members companies shall be represented in BOMA Hawaiʻi by a Primary Allied Member. In addition, one or more additional Allied Member from the same business or company may be named.

Membership in this category does not include BOMA International membership

Emerging Professionals

Emerging Professional membership is limited to 3 years. After 3 years, the member must renew in the appropriate membership category.

Membership Dues are non-refundable.

As a result of changes adopted as part of the Tax Reform Act of 1993, 4.25% of your dues payment to BOMA Hawaii is not deductible by members as an ordinary and necessary business expense. A percentage of your Fees paid to BOMA Hawaii is deductible for federal income tax purposes as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Contributions or gifts to BOMA Hawaii are not deductible as charitable contributions. Please consult with your tax advisor.
