Peer Interaction
- You’ll have direct access to the business network of
com-
mercial real estate industry professionals who gather
regularly for programs and social events in all major North
American cities. In addition, some 5,000 members meet
annually in June at BOMA International's North American
Real Estate Congress and The Office Building Show.
There is also the opportunity to interact in January at the
BOMA Winter Business Meeting and Leadership
Conference. BOMA offers a global marketplace through
affiliation with Canada, Australia, Brazil, Finland,
Indonesia, Japan, Korea, the Philippines and South Africa.

Legislative Advances
- Advance warning and information about industry changes
allow you to prepare and posture your firm locally before
your competition does. BOMA International is the premier
real estate advocacy group and serves as the government
watchdog for national real estate industry issues. The
combined lobbying efforts of local BOMA Associations and
BOMA International effectively advances the interests of
the commercial real estate industry on issues such as:
electricity deregulation, capital gains tax relief, telecom-
munications, indoor air quality, private property rights,
risk assessment, and codes and standards.

Education
- BOMA University offers a variety of courses and programs
designed to enhance and advance the careers of real estate
professionals. Courses are offered in a variety of media --
from traditional seminars and courses, to online seminars,
to audio seminars (conferences which take place by phone)
-- to suit every schedule and budget.
- BOMI Institute allows you to gain professional certifica-
tion. Courses are available to earn designations for Real
Property Administrator® (RPA), Facilities Management
Administrator® (FMA), Systems Maintenance Technician®
(SMT) and Systems Maintenance Administrator® (SMA).
- “Boot Camp for Property Managers” is an intensive
3 day,
skills-building program covering operations and manage-
ment, marketing, crisis management, customer service,
tenant retention and leasing.
